The Alcock & Brown Hotel is one of Connemaras most famous hotels, and overlooks the picturesqe Clifden Town Square. This is a family run business, and is reknowned for its great atmosphere, terrific service and superb food. 

The hotel was renovated in 2010 and boasts a new Coffee House, offering fresh homemade food, a wide selection of coffees and a range of herbal and traditional teas. For your evening meal, Brown's Gallery Restaurant has developed a reputation for quality food at real value for money prices. It also houses a fine art gallery from the Irish School of Landscape Painting, making it the ideal place to dine and relax. Just off the foyer you will find the Cosy Bar, a popular local haunt where you will find both chat and craic. Then for live bands and celebrations of all kinds, the hotel has Vickers Music and Party Bar, which can cater for up to 200 people. Upstairs, the 20 bedrooms are spacious, all containing both a double bed and single bed and of course full ensuite facilities. The Hotel also offers free WIFI, and an outside decking area where you can sip that Guinness or glass of wine and watch the world go by.
