Almost everywhere is an adventure waiting to happen, or a memorable ramble in the offing. Such is the nature of the place. The Connemara National Park (9 miles north of Clifden on the Westport Road) or Kylemore Abbey (11 miles along the same route) provide some lovely walks in some beautifully picturesque Connemara scenery.
